7 October 2026 · Worldwide synchronous Rosary pilot

Help make
One Rosary Together
possible.

Build the simplest credible way for Catholics everywhere to pray the same five decades together, once a month, at the same moment.

Our working plan for 7 October 2026 is simple: Catholics around the world pray one five-decade Rosary at the same moment, wherever they are and in their own language, while a simple website shows the minimum number and worldwide spread of people who have checked in to say they are praying.

As far as we know, no existing solution enables people around the world to pray the Rosary together at the same moment and know that they are doing so. The project adds nothing to the Rosary itself. It simply makes the shared moment visible, so each participant can know how many others are praying with them during the same 20-25 minute window.

One Rosary Together is currently a grassroots initiative of Simon and Natalia Galbraith, Attila and Marianna Csongrady, and Bruno Nieuwenhuys. We are simply putting our heads together to see what can be built because we feel called to do our best to make this synchronised worldwide Rosary possible. The five organisers are unpaid and act entirely as volunteers. We are collecting voluntary expertise, introductions and infrastructure, together with financial support only for third-party project costs. Any mistakes are ours, and we take full responsibility for this early-stage project.

Why 14:00 UTC: the current planning model estimates that roughly 99% of practising Catholics worldwide have a local start between 07:00 and 22:00. This is a scheduling estimate, not an audited participation statistic.

Read freely. Registration is required only when you put your hand up. Several people may respond to the same need, and further offers remain welcome until suitable support is actually secured.

Funding is not a separate workstream. Financial, technical and in-kind support is shown within each requirement.

The organisers (Simon and Natalia Galbraith, Attila and Marianna Csongrady, and Bruno Nieuwenhuys) will review each response and contact people whose offer may fit. An indication does not mean the need is filled.

Privacy, consent, retention and your rights +

Who uses the data: Simon and Natalia Galbraith, Attila and Marianna Csongrady, and Bruno Nieuwenhuys jointly organise this early-stage project. Full response details are restricted to these five organisers.

What and why: We use your name, verified email, optional WhatsApp number, contact preference and response solely to assess and coordinate possible project support. A response to a Rosary initiative may reveal or imply religious interests, so the form asks for explicit consent before saving it.

Public information: Names, contact details, free text, locations supplied in responses, timestamps and individual funding amounts are never published. The public sees anonymous response counts. Funding progress is banded until at least three indications exist and then rounded to the nearest €1,000. A separate visitor counter publishes only aggregate, approximate city and country totals supplied by the hosting network; it does not store or display visitors' names, email addresses or IP addresses.

Contact and processors: Email remains available. WhatsApp is used only if you select it and consent separately; WhatsApp/Meta will then process information connected with that communication. The site also uses authentication, hosting and database providers needed to operate securely.

Retention and control: Unresolved responses are reviewed every 90 days. Identifiable data will be deleted or anonymised six months after the relevant requirement closes or three months after 7 October 2026, whichever is later. You can update or delete one response, or delete your complete profile immediately, while signed in. You may also request access, correction, restriction or portability when the organisers contact you. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.

Governance: No automated decision-making is used. Before broad promotion, the organisers will document controller responsibilities, processor terms, security and breach procedures, and complete a data-protection impact assessment.
